Understand the price
American odds of +150 mean a winning $100 cash stake earns $150 profit. Odds of −150 mean a $150 stake is needed for $100 profit. Your total return includes the stake on a winning cash wager. These examples explain pricing, not recommended stakes.
Check the bet slip
Confirm the team or player, market, line, odds and stake. Displayed odds can change before acceptance. A bet is not placed until the operator confirms it; check your open-bets record rather than assuming a click went through.
Know what settles the wager
Read overtime rules, postponed-game conditions, void selections and player-participation requirements. A winning intuition about the match can still lose a specific market if its terms ask a different question.
Leave room not to bet
Set a small entertainment budget you can afford to lose, not a target profit. Passing on a match is always an option. Supporting your favorite team does not require putting money on the result.
